How to partition your SD card For more internal memory on IDEA ZTE BLADE

Here are the simple steps to follow to Partition your SD Card:

Download ROM MANAGER from MARKET

Back-up all data on the SD Card to a computer – partitioning is a destructive process meaning all content of the card will be wiped.

Open up ROM Manager.

Select “Partition SD Card”.

Select an option for the “Ext Size”. This is the size of the partition in which apps can be stored. I recommend 256MB for 1GB SD Cards and 512MB for any cards larger than this.

Select an option for the “Swap Size”. Not all ROMs use this so I recommend you choose either 32MB or 64MB, but no higher.

Click “OK” in the pop-up to continue.

Let the phone boot into recovery mode and do its thing – this can take several minutes, so be patient.
Reboot your device.

Done!

Upgrading IDEA Blade to Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread

You might read about upgrades before but there was problems with Camera drivers with other Roms but upgrading with this Rom with Swedish Kernal includes camera drivers also so Camera will also work Flawlessly..
Lets start,first of all we need to collect all the stuff we needed. Just download all the things listed below on your PC :

Z4root: Link (after downloading your antivirus might detect it as Virus
this is an exploit Exploit:Unix/Lotoor)

After downloading everything , first check if your memory Card had atleast 500MB of free space or not,then mount your memory card on PC by connecting through USB.Copy everything on SDCard's root.


1. install Z4root and Rom manager using Filer.Once you install Z4root open application and Click on Permanent Root it will take a while to root your Blade,then it will automatically Reboots, after reboot to just check if your Blade is Rooted or not, search for SuperUser App in your App drawer which will automatically get installed after Rooting Process.if it is there then now your Phone is rooted and ready for Flashing.

2. Before we actually starts Flashing,we have to take Backup of our Stock Rom for Fail-Safe situation, So now go to App drawer and Open Rom manager and select first option Flash ClockworkMod Recovery
(you need working net or wifi connection to download latest ClockworkMod) , it will pop-up drop-down list to choose your device,select you device.it will starts download , after download complete,ClockworkMod will be get installed automatically.


3. Finally select Backup Current Rom option it will Reboot your phone into ClockworkMod and Backup will automatically Start.after done with this, phone reboots and starts normally,

4. Now you are completely ready for Flashing as you have Backup of your existing Rom for fail-Safe Situation,Now Turn Off your phone.and Start it by Holding Power on and Volume down key at the same time,hold as it is for few seconds.. you will enter ClockworkMod after few seconds..
now Navigate through options using Volume Rocker keys and Home key to select.
5. now select wipe data/factory reset then Advance -> wipe dalvik cache ,after this completes select
Install from SD card > Moldovan-Mile-High-Mountain-Pie-RLS9.zip and install nextInstall from SD card > M-MHMP-RLS9-Undervolt-Kernel-Gen2.zip and install thenInstall from SD card > M-MHMP-RLS9-Swedish-Stock-Kernal-Gen2.zip and install
after installation Completes Simply select Reboot... And Enjoy new Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread ! :)Note : It takes several minutes in first Reboot so be patient..


I have already done this and it works like Charm ,and it is Faster than Stock Rom !

How to root Idea ZTE Blade

FOLLOW THESE STEPS

Just follow these steps to root the ZTE Blade:

First, download this file: z4root_blade_perm_root_v2.

Next, enable “USB Debugging” on your phone. On your homescreen, tap Menu > Settings > Application > Development, then make sure “USB Debugging” is checked.

Connect your phone to your computer via its USB data cable, then tap the “Turn on USB storage” button on your phone.

Next, locate your phone’s microSD card on your computer and copy the file (z4root_blade_perm_root_v2.apk) you’ve downloaded into the root of the microSD card.

Once copied, tap on “Turn off USB storage” on your phone and disconnect it from your computer.

Next, on your phone, use your phone’s file manager (or download ES File Explorer and use that) to locate the z4root_blade_perm_root_v2.apk file. Tap to install it.

Tap on it so that it does a permanent root.

The phone will automatically reboot itself afterwards.

After rebooting, you will have successfully rooted your phone. Congratulations!

This version of z4root keeps a copy of the original su and busybox binaries and restores them if you choose to unroot, leaving no visible traces in the system folder. (unless you’ve modified /system yourself while being rooted). That means you can probably still claim warranty if necessary.

If you want to unroot your device, just open the z4root app again, then click unroot.

Download JOYOS 1.2.2 ROM for IDEA Blade 

INSTRUCTIONS

Copy the ROM to the phone’s internal SD card.

Disconnect the USB connection and power off the device.

Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery. To do it, press and hold the Power button and Volume Down key for a while. use Volume keys to navigate to Recovery and press the Home to select it.

[Optional but recommended] In the Recovery menu use Volume keys to navigate to “Backup and Restore” > “Backup”. This will create a backup of your current firmware and it can be used restore your phone incase something went wrong.

Select ‘Install zip from SD Card’ > ‘Choose zip from SD card’ from main menu of Recovery.

Select the ROM zip file.

After the installation is complete, select ‘++++Go Back++++’.

Select ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ > ‘Yes – delete all user data’.

Select the option Cache Partition’ > ‘Yes Wipe cache’.

Go to ‘Advanced’ and select ‘Wipe Dalvik Cache’ > ‘Yes – Wipe Dalvik Cache’.

Select ‘++++Go Back++++’.

In the main menu, press ‘Reboot system now’.

Now you are ready!!

Change the language from chinese to english.You can do this by going to settings..now look for an icon "Aa" then choose english.
